Primary Therapist

Maddie is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Maddie is passionate about her work with survivors of trauma and has experience treating a variety of stress and trauma disorders. As a fully-trained EMDR therapist, she uses EMDR for post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related disorders. Whether using traditional talk therapy or EMDR, Maddie strives to help each survivor find meaningful healing and growth on their journey to find peace.

Maddie has also made it a part of her mission to provide multiculturally-competent counseling to the military community. With many loved ones in military service, she has used her unique perspective to build an awareness of the diversity and specific needs of our nation’s military. She see herself as an advocate and ambassador for mental health and wellness in military populations. Maddie welcomes active-duty service members, reservists, veterans, and their family members to her practice.

Similarly, Maddie approaches the first responder communities with an awareness of the compassion that motivates them to put their lives on the lines for others. They experience high stress and traumatic situations every day in their work. Maddie’s clinical experience and skills, combined with her own compassion to serve others, moves her to be a resource for this community.

Maddie believes that finding peace is not a journey outward, but a journey within. Anyone can make that journey with help and support.
